In this course, we’ll identify the different types of communication and how each one affects the working environment. Participants will gain a better of understanding of how to recognize non-verbal cues and realize common misperceptions.

Effective Communication 2

In this course, we continue our discussion through effective communication and explore more scenarios when it’s tough to know exactly what to do. We’ll also look at communication through email and text messages, and improving one on one communication when providing feedback.

Conflict Resolution

Almost everyone avoids conflict at some point in their interpersonal interactions. In this training we will find out why we avoid conflict and what happens when we do. We then explore strategies for how to have healthy conflict, and welcome discussions that will solve problems and build trust and respect.

Employee to Leader: What does it take?

Promotions are exciting but can create some uncomfortable scenarios when you go from being “one of the crew”, to the one in charge. Do you have what it takes? In this course, we’ll look at what happens when your peers become your subordinates and how to navigate the pitfalls of maintaining professional, yet friendly boundaries. We’ll examine the most common reasons new leaders struggle, as well as strategies for ensuring a successful transition.

Intro to Strategic Leadership: Know Yourself

The first step to becoming a great leader is to know your own personal strengths and areas for improvement. In this class we will use the DiSC. Once our preferences are identified, we’ll then look at how these can manifest into great strengths and also “blind spots” in our ability to communicate and lead effectively.
