Assessment of Team Health

Research shows that only about 10 percent of work teams in corporate America perform at an elite level. Meanwhile, approximately 60 percent are performing below average. So, what ails America’s work teams? Why are so few teams healthy and high functioning while many are in critical condition? Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll explore this topic in a series of blog posts examining the five components of healthy teams. They include:

  1. Leadership
  2. Communication
  3. Trust
  4. Culture
  5. Performance

Many teams are strong when it comes to a few of the components, but only the rare, elite teams are exceptional in all five categories. Wondering about the condition of your work team? Take five minutes and complete the Assessment of Team Health (ATH). Is your work team healthy, stable or in critical condition?
